Aleppo Dried Peppers

Aleppo Pepper - (8,000-10,000 SHU) The Aleppo Pepper comes from the region around the city of Aleppo in modern-day Syria. It is a staple of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, particularly in Armenia, Lebanon , and Syria. It is known for its fruitness, mild cumin flavor, and sun-dried tomato tang under a wave of heat that builds after the initial taste. It is one of our favorite peppers and one of the hardest to find which makes them even more precious. Often they are crushed into Haleb Biber flakes and sometimes mixed with other spices like Sumac and/or salt.
